Opto Diode Introduces New, Blue/Green Enhanced Silicon Photodiode Preamplifier

October 23, 2008 - Newbury Park, CA - Opto Diode Corporation, a global supplier of advanced performance photodiodes and highly reliable, visible and IR LEDs, introduces the new, 6 mm² Photodiode-Preamplifier ODA-6WB-500M. Featuring extremely low noise, high sensitivity and a large active area, the newest combination device is the third in the family of blue/green enhanced photodiode-preamplifiers. With sensitivity response at 450 nm, typically 140 V/µW (min. 100), the detector operates between 400 nm and 1100 nm, with peak spectral frequency at 940 nm. The ODA-6WB-500M features a transimpedance gain of 500 Mohm, with custom gains also available upon customer request. Opto Diode's preamp combo is ideal for fluorescence detection and low-light-level medical diagnostic applications.

Hermetically sealed in a standard TO-39 housing, the new photodetector-preamplifier combo is easy to integrate into your current system or can be quickly adapted to a custom configuration. Storage and operating temperatures range from minus 25 degrees to 100 degrees C and withstand a soldering temperature (1/16 inch from the case for 3 seconds maximum) up to 260 degrees C. The new blue enhanced detector preamps are affordably priced at $44.80 in quantities of 100 units.

photodiode

Hello! My company is looking for a photodiode, the main purpose is: When the light is stopped by solid particles of different sizes, the photodiode outputs different sizes currents depending on the size of shadow which projection on photodiode.Request that photodiode be able to distinguish the shadow between 1 to 400 micron shadow, the wavelength between 0.6 to 0.9 micron. Please your company help the selection and pricing.Thank you!
