Stainless Steel Paints Protect Steel in Salt Air Environments



A line of corrosion-resistant, stainless steel paints for builders of cranes, platforms, and other on-shore marine port structures is available from Stainless Steel Coatings, Inc. of So. Lancaster, Massachusetts.

STEEL-IT® Stainless Steel Coatings feature a 316L stainless steel leafing pigment which creates a durable finish that protects steel structures used above the waterline in salt air environments. Highly corrosion-resistant, they are offered in an epoxy-based formulation for maximum durability or a polyurethane-based version for withstanding direct, prolonged UV exposure.

Featuring a metallic satin gray finish that will not chip, peel, or flake when applied with the appropriate primer, STEEL-IT® Stainless Steel Coatings can be applied by brush, roller, and conventional- and airless spray guns. They are capable of withstanding a continuous 2,000 hr. salt spray test.
