MALVERN, Pa. – Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today introduced a new photovoltaic solar panel protection rectifier with a high current rating of 10 A and high reverse voltage of 1000 V in the P600 axial package.
Based on glass passivated chip technology, the GPP100MS offers a maximum operating junction temperature of 175 ºC. The device features low thermal resistance, low forward voltage drop of 0.80 V at 10 A and 125 ºC, and high forward surge capability of 440 A.
Suitable for polarity protection applications in solar panel blocking boxes, the P600 package features solder bath temperatures of 275 °C maximum, 10 s, per JESD 22-B106. The GPP100MS is compliant to RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
