July 22, 2010 - Uni-Max Revolution(TM) Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) system allows users to customize lubricant output volume for each tool in machine directly from CNC program. Developed specifically for OEM installations on CNC mills and turning centers, system can also be retrofitted on machines with available M-code outputs. MQL technology accurately applies small amounts of lubricant, such as UNIST Coolube® 2210, to interface where cutting tool meets material being worked.

UNIST to Introduce New MQL System for CNC at IMTS 2010

Grand Rapids, MI: UNIST Inc.'s new Uni-Max Revolution(TM) is the latest in MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) technology and is on display during IMTS 2010 at Booth N-7260. It is the first MQL system designed to integrate seamlessly with CNC machines and gives users the ability to customize the lubricant output volume for each tool in a machine directly from the CNC program. The Uni-Max Revolution(TM) also includes an optional pulsed air blow-off nozzle for removing chips in difficult operations like pocket milling. This new system was developed specifically for OEM installations on CNC mills and turning centers, but can also easily be retrofitted on existing machines with available M-code outputs.

UNIST is a recognized leader in MQL technology. This state-of-the-art lubrication technique carefully and accurately applies small amounts of a high quality lubricant, such as UNIST Coolube® 2210, to the interface where the cutting tool meets the material being worked. This process reduces friction, removes heat, and keeps the part cool. MQL has been adopted by many leading manufacturers such as Ford Motor Company and Mercedes-Benz because it saves from 50% to 90% on fluid related costs, keeps them manufacturing plant cleaner, and greatly reduces fluid related environmental concerns by eliminating much of the mess, waste and cleaning associated with traditional lubrication methods.

UNIST manufacturers the most complete line of industrial lubrication systems used in MQL for metal cutting and metal forming operations. Their Uni-Max(TM), Uni-Mist(TM), Thru-the-Tool Systems, Saw Lube and Uni-Roller product lines system offer solutions for even the most demanding MQL applications.
