Para Light Adds 700mA E-Power LEDs to Its EP4 Series; Improves Reliability and Color Temperature-Control Stability

WALNUT, Calif., September 26, 2005 - Para Light Corp., a world leader in providing light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to electronics OEMs, has added a 700-milliamp series to its popular EP4 family of 150mA and 350mA enhanced-power LEDs. Available in 3- and 5-watt versions, the new 700mA series LEDs are ideal for use in reading lights, flashlights, traffic signals and signage, as well as track, cabinet, emergency, security, entertainment industry and architectural lighting applications.

Like the existing EP4 family, the 700mA LEDs are available in individual single colors (blue, green, amber, red and cyan) - with an RGB (red/green/blue) package to be added soon - as well as lighting strips and modules. All EP4 LEDs have viewing angles of 60, 90 and 100 degrees and output intensity from 2 to 10 candelas and are available in heat-sink versions, mounted on aluminum printed circuit boards, as part of the recently announced LS0R15 series. Total flux for the new 700mA LEDs ranges from 30 to 100 lumens at the suggested 700mA operating current.

The entire EP4 family features a newly designed package that provides even higher reliability and color temperature-control stability than before. Moreover, the package now includes a zener diode, to increase electrostatic discharge, and thermal conductive copper, which not only raises thermal conductivity but also significantly enhances thermal resistance.

Samples of the new 700mA EP4 series LEDs are available for purchase at $7 each for single colors. Delivery is 6 weeks.
