High-Performance, Nuclear Multi-Channel Analyzer/Counter/Timer/Rate Meter
Oak Ridge, TN — The ORTEC Products Group of AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology announces the introduction of the EASY-NIM 928 instrument suite that offers an entirely a new approach for nuclear pulse counting and pulse-height analysis for research applications.
The high-performance instrument package offers a range of functions: a high- performance nuclear multi-channel analyzer with up to four counter-rate meters and two timers. Each product variant is packaged in single -width Nuclear Instrumentation Module (NIM) hardware format and is fully computer controllable. Software in the form of a “front panel emulator” for the Windows® environment is provided, along with an optional toolkit that allows users to integrate the hardware into their own instrumentation system.
The four modules that comprise the suite are the 928 combination MCB/quad counter/dual timer module, the 928-MCB Multi-Channel Buffer, the 928 COUNT-2 with two counters and one timer, and the 928 COUNT-4 with four counters and two timers. Each model features configuration under software of internal functional interconnections of signals to simplify the setup of a measurement system and to minimize external cabling. Programmable I/O hardware facilitates connections to external equipment, which may form part of a researcher’s experiment.
