Bond Perfectly With Sikalock

Full-range supplier Sika has launched SikaLock - a new range of instant adhesive engineering solutions suitable for a wide variety of industrial bonding and assembly operations.

As a technologically advanced alternative to mechanical fastening systems, SikaLock adhesive systems are specifically designed to simplify and speed up mass production processes across a range of manufacturing industries from large-scale manufacturers to small producers.

Specifically formulated for superior strength, fast reaction and ease of use, the versatile SikaLock product range comprises fast-acting, moisture-curing cyanoacrylates, anaerobic adhesives and UV-curing adhesives.

By selecting the right SikaLock product to bond substrates, such as metals, glass, plastics or rubber, conventional fixing and fastening methods can be substituted to join parts, with the added advantages of speed, even stress distribution, the use of fewer components and an improved aesthetic finish.

For high speed, high strength bonding of most common substrates, the cyanoacrylate-based SikaLock 2000 series is ideally suited for assemblies with very close fitting parts and smooth, even surfaces. From rubber, plastic and polypropylene materials to delicate electronic as-semblies, glass and even jewellery, SikaLock offers cost-effective solutions to all types of bonding requirements.

Within the range are instant adhesives designed to withstand varying degrees of tempera-ture, humidity and impact resistance, offering a cost-effective and fast alternative to the traditional fastening methods, such as screws, nails, bolts rivets and welding.

Specially formulated for high temperature bonding, SikaLock 2100 HT is particularly suited for electronic purposes, while the low odour SikaLock 2100 LO is designed for user comfort and eliminates whitening in cosmetically critical applications.

Within the anaerobic adhesive range are pipe sealants for instant low pressure pipe seals and high pressure sealants suitable for replacing O rings and tapes in pneumatic connec-tions. The UV adhesive range comprises the multi-purpose SikaLock 3050 GB, ideal for glass and metal bonding applications, plus the 3011 MD version approved for bonding stainless steel to thermo plastic.
