Press release date: August 11, 2003

Orange, CA (August 11, 2003) - Radius Power Inc., a leading manufacturer of advanced EMI filters and power supplies, today announced the availability of its universal power line inlet filter and switch, the RP188. The RP188 is an integrated, high-performance, fully shielded EMI filter, universal AC power inlet, switch and fuse in an all-in-one industry standard module that meets all international and domestic safety requirements, including Europe's harmonized standard EN133200 and C-US. It provides all five power entry functions in one compact design and has a low leakage version for medical applications. Backed by superior customer and application service, the RP188 is ideal for manufacturers of home, office, medical and industrial appliances and equipment.

These general-purpose inlet modules excel in eliminating equipment and mains-borne electro-magnetic interference or "noise" that can cause unstable operation of medical and office equipment. The modules are designed as an industry standard, screw-mounted panel unit, with fast-on power connectors on the load side. They are C-US (CSA / UL) and EN133200 (Europe) approved for input voltages up to 250 VAC and currents up to 10 amps, meeting all international AC input line requirements - a definite advantage in the global economy. In addition, customers have access to the company's application engineers, helping them ease the EMI design and certification process.

Price and Availability Available off-the-shelf, the RP188 screw mount version is priced around $14 in 100 piece quantities. Custom modifications and cable harness assemblies are also available. Complete specifications are also listed on the company's web site at radiuspower.com/filters.html.
