Eubanks Introduces New Heavy-Duty Coiling Pan

ONTARIO, Calif. -- Eubanks Engineering Co. announces the introduction of a new Heavy-Duty Coiling Pan, Model 16800, that is the ideal accessory for collecting long lengths of single wires or big batches of large wire and cable as they are processed by a stripping machine. The coil diameter is adjustable up to a maximum O.D. of 24 in. (610 mm) and down to a minimum O.D. of 12 in. (305 mm).

"Coiling pans provide a fast and convenient way to collect wire as it comes out of a wire stripper or wire marker," explains company President David Eubanks. "On the 16800 the top lip of the pan keeps the wire in place while allowing easy access for removal of the coiled wire."

Model 16800 starts and stops in response to a signal from the cable stripper and coils properly even during the rapid start-stop action encountered when marking wire. A Capstan/Coil Forming Frame inside the 16800 helps form the coil and pulls the trailing end of the wire/cable free from the stripping machine and into the pan. A jog switch enables the operator to reposition the coiling pan by rotating it a partial turn before removing the wire or cable from the pan.

Maximum coil weight is 75 lbs. (34 kg), with maximum coil speed at 77 in./second for 24 in. diameter. Dimensions are 24 in. W x 24 in. L x 38 in. H (610 mm W x 610 mm L x 965 mm H) and the shipping weight is 365 lbs (166 kg).

Eubanks Engineering Co. has been an innovator in design and manufacturing for more than 40 years. The company offers a comprehensive line of wire processing equipment for cutting, stripping, and marking wire and cables worldwide. Its programmable electric and pneumatic wire strippers allow users maximum flexibility in setting wire length, strip length and wire size.
