August 23, 2012 - In addition to 83-1,200 A models, Matrix AP Series includes 6-66 A units. All 6-103 A models utilize single 3-phase capacitor. Available on all 6-1,200 A filters, Capacitor Contactor Option 002 disconnects capacitor bank, essentially eliminating leading power factor under light or no-load conditions. Offered in open panel, NEMA 1/2, and NEMA 3R models, UL/cUL listed passive filters help extend service life cycle of electrical equipment.

Press release date: August 21, 2012

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., -- MTE Corporation, a world leader in the design and manufacture of electrical power quality products for commercial and industrial applications, announces the extension of the Matrix AP Harmonic Filter product line. Adding to the current 83 Amp - 1200 Amp offerings, 6 Amp - 66 Amp units are now available. All 6 Amp - 103 Amp units utilize a new, single three-phase capacitor.

Capacitor Contactor Option 002 is also available as a standard option on all 6 Amp - 1200 Amp filters. To accommodate specific application requirements, this option disconnects the capacitor bank essentially eliminating leading power factor under light or no-load conditions. This option is also available as an upgrade to existing installed Matrix AP Filters.

MTE's Matrix AP Harmonic Filter addresses the demand for efficiency and improved power quality and provides the best harmonic mitigation available in a passive filter. Using our patent-pending adaptive passive technology, the Matrix AP Harmonic Filter adapts its impedance in response to changing loads. Compared to other passive filter designs, it is more effective over a wider load range and features lower harmonic distortion at lower loads. The most technology advanced filter on the market, the AP Filter exhibits active filter characteristics in a passive filter topology. With reduced harmonics and improved power factor, the Matrix AP Harmonic Filter extends the service life cycle of electrical equipment and reduces energy costs. They are available in open panel, NEMA 1 / 2 and NEMA 3R, and are UL / cUL listed.

This best in class harmonic filter deserves a best in class warranty. Effective immediately, all Matrix AP Filters now come with a new standard 3 year warranty!
