Tsugami/Rem Sales to Debut New 38mm Swiss Turn at PMTS

[Windsor, Connecticut:] Rem Sales, LLC of Windsor, Connecticut, will introduce the new Tsugami B0 385 38mm 5-axis Swiss Turn at the Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS), April 19-21 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Ohio.

The B0 385 5-axis Swiss Turn is the largest gang-style precision lathe in its class and very competitively priced, according to Scott Anthony, National Sales Manager of Rem Sales. With its rigid frame, integral double spindle and capacity to hold 20mm diameter turning tools, the B0 385 performs heavy duty cutting with high precision and accuracy.

A powerful 15 HP main spindle with maximum turning speed of 6000 rpm readily handles challenging materials while holding tight tolerances. Like many other Tsugami Swiss- style lathe models, the B0 385 provides true simultaneous operation of the main and sub spindle and features a roomy, modular tool zone that permits quick and easy changeovers.

Rem Sales will present live cutting demos on the B0 385 and several other new models: the S207 20mm Swiss Turn with continuous B-axis movement; the SS26 26mm Chucker Convertible Swiss Turn, and the S205 20mm Swiss Turn. The easy-to-learn and operate BE12/20-V Swiss Turn will also be demonstrated.

The new Tsugami S207 20mm Swiss Turn with continuous B-axis movement is the only Swiss Turn in its class with continuous B-axis movement.

"The S207 with B-axis milling was developed in direct response to market demand for technology capable of machining complex, precision contoured shapes," explains Mr. Anthony.

Rem Sales invites precision manufacturers to meet its staff of product specialists and application engineers at Booth 101 in the Exhibit Hall. John Corrigan, Tsugami Product Specialist at Technical Equipment Sales-- the exclusive distributor of Tsugami precision machine tools in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky-- will join Rem Sales at Booth #101 and also serve as a guest speaker at the PMTS Technical Theater on April 19. Mr. Corrigan is Program Chair of the local PMPA chapter in his region.
