HydroSeal Maxx Flooring Adhesive Announced by Formulators

HydroSeal Maxx, the first moisture-resistant flooring adhesive warranted to 10 pounds MVER at 90% insitu RH, has been announced by Formulators, Inc. HydroSeal Maxx does not require the vapor suppressants, primers or membranes of more costly moisture-mitigation systems. Warranted not to delaminate due to high levels of concrete moisture for 10 years, it is used with resilient flooring in retail, healthcare, education and commercial facilities.

HydroSeal Maxx produces pressure-sensitive grab after 30 minutes flash time, but remains partially wet, allowing for maximum surface penetration of resilient tile. Installed like any sheet vinyl adhesive, it provides extended working time, 300% higher bond strength than typical thin-sets, and foot traffic in five hours.

The one-part, water-based adhesive requires no mixing, can be used over concrete surfaces prepped with inexpensive concrete-grinding methods, and contains no VOCs. It meets REACH European environmental and CHPS low odor indoor air quality standards and contributes to LEED credits for low-emitting materials.

HydroSeal Maxx samples and complimentary adhesive bond tests are available from Formulators, Inc., 1790 South Boyd Street, Santa Ana, CA 92705, 714-429-9804, www.formulatorsonline.com
