Tennant Company Introduces Two New Coatings Products

Eco-CWO(TM) offers extreme thermal protection while Eco-URE(TM) offers superior UV light resistance

MINNEAPOLIS-(March 9, 2007)-Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC), one of the world's leading manufacturers of surface maintenance equipment and coatings, today announced the introduction of two new coatings-one appropriate for industrial food and beverage processing plants and the other appropriate for high-image commercial environments.

Eco-CWO is the newest addition to Tennant's Eco-ProTekt line of coatings. Specifically designed to address the need within food and beverage plants to reduce odors and food borne illnesses caused by bacterial growth, Eco-CWO is a one-coat seamless thermal shock-resistant, chemical-resistant, and slip-resistant coating that reduces surfaces where bacteria grow. Like all Eco-ProTekt coatings, Eco-CWO, available in beige, red, dark gray, and light gray, is a water-borne urethane, which reduces evaporation and contamination; is virtually odor-free, which assists with indoor air quality; and contains no volatile organic chemicals (VOCs).

Eco-URE is a seamless epoxy coating that can be used to prime, build, or topcoat flake or quartz flooring. With its superior UV light resistance, Eco-URE is ideal for high-image commercial settings such as automotive showrooms, retail aisles and lobbies, and education classrooms and corridors that want to improve their appearance. In addition, with its slip resistance, chemical resistance, and low VOC level (6g/L), Eco-URE improves overall facility and occupant safety. Tennant also carries Eco-MPE for situations where UV light resistance is not necessary and Eco-TCU for situations where UV light stability is required.

"Both Eco-CWO and Eco-URE from Tennant offer their respective markets a coating solution specifically designed to meet their specific needs," said Mike Rylander, product manager with Tennant Company. "In addition, with their low VOC levels and superior slip- and chemical-resistance, both coatings further demonstrate Tennant Company's commitment to the environment."
