April 9, 2014 - Handling inspection speeds from 30–50 cm²/sec, S3088 ultra 3D-AOI combines automated optical inspection system with XM-3D camera module. System leverages XM-3D sensor head, which features integrated structured light projector for image fields of up to 9 views for exact 3D analyses. Along with automatic width adjustment, features include optional PCB support, capacity for PCBs up to 20 x 20 in., and transport height capacities to 33.5 x 37.4 in., ±0.8 in.

Viscom, one of the leading manufacturers of systems for optical inspection and X-ray inspection, launches the new Viscom S3088 ultra 3D-AOI system at NEPCON China in Shanghai (April 23 to April 25).

The S3088 ultra combines the flexibility of the AOI systems of the Viscom S3088 family with the strengths of the high-performance camera module XM-3D, which makes it achieve unprecedented inspection speeds.

Twice as fast as the predecessor systems of the S3088 family it additionally offers the most advanced 3D-measurement technology.

It’s XM-3D sensor head features an integrated structured light projector for image fields of up to nine views. This permits exact 3D analyses of for example lifted leads, surface chips or IC coplanarity defects.
