Fin Tube Removal Tool Eliminates Chipping Hammers and Grinders
A new (patent pending) tool that removes up to 4" of fin from a tube O.D. in under two minutes and end preps the tube for welding, all in one step, is being introduced by ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.
The MILLHOG® Fin Tube Removal Tool is air powered, clamps to the tube I.D., and features a proprietary blade design that seperates the fin from a tube and then bevels the tube end, all in one step. Eliminating the need for chipping hammers and grinders, this tool has no reaction torque to the user, is chatter free, and can remove 4" of fin from a tube in under two minutes.
Easy to operate, the MILLHOG® the fine removal tool cuts the bond between the fin and tube O.D. and can work in any position. The cutter blade is made from a high grade tool steel and can be resharpened, while a heavyduty rack and pinion feed mechanism assures smooth operation for greater fin removal control. No cutting lubricants are required.
