June 8, 2005 - Model TL150 is a 1.5 in. diameter, 24:1 L/D extruder with standard centerline height of 42 in. and vertical adjustment of ±2 in. Height adjustment feature permits proper vertical alignment between co-extruder and die. Caster-mounted machine can also be equipped with ability to tilt for angular entry into die.

New Extruder Offers Height Adjustment Feature for Increased Flexibility
Tallmadge, OH: Diamond America Corporation, a global manufacture of extruders, screws and barrels for the plastics industry, has recently introduced a new extruder line with a height adjustment feature to permit proper vertical alignment between the co-extruder and the die.
The model TL150, which is a 1.5 inch diameter 24:1 L/D machine, offers a standard centerline height of 42 inches, with a vertical adjustment of plus or minus two inches. However, models are also available with greater ranges of adjustment.
The model TL150 is caster mounted for ease of movement and offers a narrow profile for minimal plant footprint.
According to Tom Allen, President of Diamond America, "Some of our customers expressed the need for adjusting the height of the extruder for proper alignment between the co-extruder and the die. While the TL150 was designed for 4 inches in height variation, other designs can be offered to accommodate greater ranges of adjustments. This easy height adjustment allows flexibility when working with various dies with different co-extrusion entry points. The extruder can also be equipped with the ability to tilt for angular entry into the die.
