118-09C-Outstanding Ink for Printed Electronic and Electronic Paper Display Applications

Creative Materials, Inc., introduces 118-09C, a conductive ink used in touch screens, fine-line circuits, and flexible solar cell applications. This new ink has become one of our key products due to its applicability to the current market in printed electronics and electronic paper display technologies. Characteristics such as adhesion to ITO, as well as resistance to creasing and solvent attack, make 118-09C an excellent choice for even the most demanding applications. It offers high conductivity and low contact resistance, as well as excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates.

Tyngsboro, MA - Creative Materials, Inc., introduces 118-09C, Solvent-Resistant Electrically Conductive Ink. This product is a one-component pre-catalyzed solvent-resistant electrically conductive epoxy ink, coating and adhesive. Applications in touch screens, solar cells, electronic paper displays and flexible circuits, make this product extremely versatile.

Electronic Paper Displays and Flat-Screen Technology: Used for bus bars in touch screens, 118-09C has excellent adhesion to several transparent conductive oxides (TCO), including ITO (indium tin oxide), and can be screen-printed. Blended with compatible carbon inks, the conductivity level can be adjusted to fit cost-conscience applications where the high conductivity of pure silver is not needed.

Solar Cell Technology: Thin film photovoltaic technology is one of the emerging applications for 118-09C. Used to print grid lines on thin film solar cells, 118-09C has excellent adhesion to TCOs, offers exceptional flexibility, and can be used as a conductive adhesive to build solar arrays.

Printed Electronics Industry: A screen-printable ink, 118-09C is used to print circuit lines on printed circuit boards. Adhesion to ITO and plastic substrates, solvent-resistance, and low-temperature cure are among the characteristics that make 118-09C a superior product for these applications. 118-09C is also used in smart labels, EMI/RFI shielding, and RFID applications.

Other application areas include electrical attachments for surface-mounted devices and polymer thick-film circuitry. 118-09C is resistant to scratching and creasing and offers excellent adhesion to polyimide polymer film, polyester film, glass, polycarbonate, and other substrates. This product is also available as a two-component (118-09A/B) system. For further details, please refer to the product data sheet: http://server.creativematerials.com/datasheets/DS_118_09C.pdf.
