Videx to Debut CyberLock Flex System Door and I/O(TM) Module at ASIS

CORVALLIS, OREGON, -Videx will be unveiling the CyberLock Flex System "Door and I/O(TM) Module" for the first time at ASIS 2011. James McGowan, Videx VP of Sales and Marketing, shares, "In the first quarter of 2011 we introduced the new CyberLock Flex System family of access modules that set the foundation for bridging the gap between hardwired and key-centric security solutions. We are excited about the new Door and I/O Module because it extends all the benefits of our award-winning key-centric CyberLock solution to hardwired door systems."

What sets the new Flex System Door and I/O Module apart from other door controllers on the market is its ability to greatly expand the capabilities of legacy hardwired systems. A Door and I/O Module installation can be done at a fraction of what it would cost to replace all or even part of an original system. For example, schools with older door control systems would certainly benefit. With the Flex System Door and I/O Module, a school can affordably gain all the access features of the CyberLock system such as brisk communications, location graphics, pre-programmed access scheduling by the door and person, audit reporting of key activity and lock openings, email alerts, and more.

McGowan says, "What's also exciting is the Door and I/O Module can activate a variety of relay-based devices from electric door strikes to security cameras and remote alarms that prompt a security response. In addition, it can receive input from Request to Exit (RTE) and Wiegand(TM) compatible access devices as well as door sensors." Behind the scenes is the CyberLock Flex System Hub that communicates between the Flex System modules, other input and output devices, and the system software. The robust software structure has built-in communications for interoperating not only with the Flex System access modules, but other Wiegand access devices and existing hardwired systems.
