February 13, 2004 - Meeting requirements for molding test plaques in Class 5 polyethylene materials, Model G30H-12-ASTM Genesis hydraulic compression press has electrically heated 12 x 12 in. platens designed for automatic cooling with closed-loop water or air-cooled chiller systems. Integral hydraulic system provides adjustable clamp force up to 30 tons, while programmable controls direct press functions and provide data storage. Clamp area is guarded with interlocked operator gate.

New Wabash Press for Class 5 ASTM Test Sample Molding
To meet the more demanding requirements for molding test plaques in Class 5 polyethylene materials WABASH MPI has introduced a new Genesis hydraulic compression press, Model G30H-12-ASTM. ASTM D4703 (formerly D1928) Procedure C demands accurate and controlled cooling from 180C to 45C. The new WABASH press has electrically heated 12” x 12” platens which are designed for automatic cooling with closed loop water or air cooled chiller systems.
Integral hydraulic system provides adjustable clamp force up to 30 tons. Fully programmable controls to direct press functions and provide for data storage. Clamp area is fully guarded with interlocked operator gate. Optional equipment includes chart recorders for data acquisition and chase frame molds for sample test plaque molding. Multiple daylights are available. The new press maintains capabilities for Class 1 through 4 materials.
