Fast and Quiet: Cam Roller Guides Round Out the Rexroth eLINE Range - ATExpo '07

New eLINE Cam Roller runner blocks provide smooth movement of light loads over extended lengths. The aluminum runner block body houses corrosion-resistant cam rollers with lubed-for-life bearings. eLINE's ultra-precise manufacturing means no preload adjustment is required.

(Charlotte, NC- www.boschrexroth-us.com) New Rexroth cam roller runner blocks for eLINE profiled rail systems provide smooth, quiet transport of light loads at speeds up to 12 m/s. Low friction levels minimize lubricant consumption and guarantee long service life. These cleanroom-compatible linear components are easy to clean and generate no dust due to abrasion of plastic parts. The aluminum runner block body houses corrosion-resistant cam rollers with lubed-for-life bearings.

Users can choose between runner blocks in standard length with 4 cam rollers, or short runner blocks with 2 cam rollers. The dimensions and mounting hole patterns are identical to those of the equivalent ball rail runner blocks and therefore allow both eLINE cam roller and eLINE ball rail runner blocks to be installed on the same rail, if needed. Rexroth offers the cam roller runner blocks in sizes 15 and 25 to cater to a wide range of applications, with size 20 planned in the near future.

The aluminum eLINE profiled rail system handily compensates for tolerance errors and unevenness in mounting surfaces; the rails can be mounted from above or below. The cam roller runner blocks for these economical linear guides are manufactured with such high precision that they require no preload adjustment. Rails come in one-piece lengths of up to 4000 mm, and composite rails can be used when loads have to be moved over longer strokes.

The quiet cam rollers are ideal for applications requiring rapid and especially smooth displacement of light loads over long distances, such as sliding machine doors, safety gates and light automation. Thanks to their low inertia, low friction and low noise, they also provide excellent ergonomics in manual handling systems. With the new cam roller runner blocks, Rexroth now offers a unique and economically-priced family of eLINE products which includes both styles of runner blocks, end seals and front lube units on standardized rails.
