June 13, 2003 - Butterfly valves are full-lug type valves suitable for bi-directional end of line service at full rated pressure. Series 6800 and 7800, class 150 and 300, respectively, meet MSS SP-68 requirements. Features include carbon steel body construction, stainless steel disc and stem, and PTFE seats and seals for chemical and heat resistance. The valves come in sizes from 2-1/2 to 24 in.

NIBCO Expands Butterfly Valve Offering

ELKHART, Ind. -- (May 2003) -- NIBCO now offers high performance butterfly valves for commercial, industrial and mechanical HVAC services. Typical applications for the valves include high-pressure treated water in high-rise construction and chemical
process.

NIBCO's high performance butterfly valves are full lug type valves suitable for bi-directional end of line service (dead end) at full rated pressure. The Class 150 (Series 6800) and Class 300 (Series 7800) valves are ideally suited for applications that require higher pressure-containing capability. These valves meet MSS SP-68 requirements.

Other design and installation features include: carbon steel body construction; stainless steel disc and stem; PTFE seats and seals for exceptional chemical and heat resistance; ISO5211 actuation mounting; and unique stem to disc connection that
increases mechanical strength. The valves are available in sizes from 2-1/2" to 24".
