New 6" Angle Grinder From Metabo
OFFERS ELECTRONIC SPEED STABILIZATION FOR INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY
WEST CHESTER, Pa., December 2006 - Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, now offers a new, electronic 6" angle grinder/cut-off machine with Metabo's Tacho-Constamatic (TC) speed stabilization for improved productivity.
With TC electronics, the WE14-150 grinder can work at nearly 100 percent of the no-load speed (9,000 RPM) right up to the grinder's full rated amp load (12 amps). This allows those using the grinder to be 25 to 35 percent more productive, cutting through various metals more quickly than when using a tool without these electronic features. Those using this tool for cutting applications range from welders, sprinkler fitters and pipe fitters, to mechanical contractors and others involved in metal fabrication.
The angle grinder/cut-off machine is also equipped with Metabo's "Quick" wheel change system, which allows tool-less wheel changes; a safety clutch, which allows the operator to maintain control of the tool in the event of a jam; a Vibratech anti-vibration handle that reduces vibration by 60 percent; and overload protection, which shuts the tool down when overheating is detected.
Maximum torque for the grinder is 31 inch-lbs and it weighs 5.6 lbs. The WE14-150 Quick features current interruption protection, a user friendly spindle lock, a low-profile aluminum die cast gear housing, an electronic winding temperature monitor with LED display and auto-stop carbon brushes.
