Tegile Systems T-Series Hybrid Arrays Sweep DCIG Buyer's Guide

NEWARK, Calif. – Tegile Systems, the leading provider of flash-driven storage arrays for databases, virtualized server and virtual desktop environments, today announced that four of its newly updated T-Series of Intelligent Flash Storage Systems swept the top spots in the upcoming DCIG 2015-16 Small and Midsized Enterprise (SME) Hybrid Storage Array Buyer's Guide.

The DCIG 2015-16 SME Hybrid Storage Array Buyer's Guide weighed, scored and ranked the features of 23 arrays from 10 different storage providers, including Dell, Hitachi, HP, Nimble and others. The Tegile T3400 earned first place and the "Best in Class" designation; with the company's T3200, T3300 and T3100 coming in second through fourth respectively, each being deemed "Excellent."

This latest recognition of Tegile products in DCIG Buyer's Guides represents a history of success that includes:

 • Top 10 finish and an "Excellent" ranking in the DCIG 2015-16 Enterprise Midrange Arrays Buyer's Guide

 • "Best-in-Class" ranking among hybrid storage arrays in the DCIG 2014 Hybrid Storage Array Buyer's Guide

 • Top 5 placement in the DCIG 2013 Flash Memory Storage Array Buyer's Guide

Tegile is the only upstart vendor to be honored in all three guides.

"We continue to be duly impressed by not only the quality of features in Tegile's products but also the breadth of offerings they have produced with their line of hybrid and flash storage arrays," said Ken Clipperton, senior analyst of DCIG LLC. "Tegile consistently achieves top marks in our comparative analyses of various solutions from vendors throughout the industry, and they are able to achieve these high scores in not just one but multiple DCIG Buyer's Guides across various markets - a very impressive feat."

Tegile hybrid arrays leverage flash, hard disks and the rich features of the IntelliFlash(TM) operating system to deliver high performance with the economics of disk storage. With faster processors for improved performance and increased memory capacity, Tegile's latest hybrid arrays deliver a compelling storage platform that accelerates a wide variety of workloads in the enterprise, allowing customers to choose the storage solution that is best suited for their particular environment.

The Tegile T3100 hybrid storage array represents the entry configuration, featuring 26TB of HDD capacity with 750GB of flash capacity. The company's T3200 and T3300 are designed to deliver higher performance for I/O intensive workloads. The 36TB T3200 has more than 5 percent of its total capacity in flash, while the 18TB T3300 has nearly 8 percent. These three new models join the existing Tegile T3400, which is ideal for those looking to maximize performance while still achieving disk economics.

"We are pleased to once again have our portfolio of Intelligent Flash Arrays recognized among the top performers in DCIG's well-regarded Buyer's Guides--with the Top 4 solutions ranked in their latest report," said Rob Commins, vice president of marketing at Tegile. "With the improved metrics generated by the faster processor and increased memory of our latest releases, we are able to set ourselves apart from our competition once again. Rather than forcing companies to make do with limited product offerings, we believe that they should have flexibility of choice in fulfilling their exacting needs. Only Tegile offers a comprehensive portfolio of Intelligent Flash Arrays, which include both all-flash and hybrid models, enabling our customers to choose the storage solution that's right for them."
