Solid-State Switch Modules Perform High Voltage Switching Directly

Compact, solid-state switch modules that the firm uses as building blocks to design and build a wide variety of custom power delivery systems are available from Diversified Technologies, Inc. of Bedford, Massachusetts.

DTI PowerMod(TM) Solid-State Switch Modules are rated @15 kV, 300 A and can be stacked in series, as building blocks, to achieve the desired voltage up to 100 kV. Capable of high voltage switching directly, without transformers and multiple conversion steps, these modules can be built into pulse modu-lators, DC-to-DC converters, opening switches, and high voltage inverters.

Featuring >99% switching efficiency or <50 V drop for a 15 kV, 300 A module, DTI PowerMod(TM) Solid-State Switch Modules are immune to arcing, emissions, and other lifetime limiting factors of conventional vacuum tubes. They measure 12" x 5" x 3" and only require a dc voltage source and an input signal, and can be passively air cooled. Each of these building blocks provides over one million hours predicted reliability per Mil-HDBK-217F.

DTI PowerMod(TM) Solid-State Switch Modules are building blocks and the systems they are built into are built to customer specification. Literature and price quotations are available upon request.
