ASTM Committee presents Award of Merit to Richard Stanley.

ASTM International Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, and Lubricants Committee Presents Top Annual Award to Richard Stanley



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — ASTM International’s Committee on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, and Lubricants (D02) has presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Richard Stanley of RMS Statistics in Piedmont, California, U.S.A. The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards.



The committee honored Stanley for his leadership and outstanding contributions to D02. He has been a member of ASTM since 1987. He received the George V. Dyroff Award of Honorary Committee D02 Membership in 2008 and the Award of Excellence in 2003, 2009, and 2015.



Stanley is a consultant at RMS Statistics providing statistical methods for the manufacturing process and improving product quality. He has been with RMS Statistics since 2003, having previously served as a staff scientist at the Chevron Corporation.



In addition to ASTM, Stanley is a member of the American Statistical Association.
