Press release date: February 19, 2009

New Berlin, WI -As a leader in temperature control, Sterling has brought rugged, reliable and high-quality TCUs to life in the Royal Series which will be featured at Interphex 2009, held at Jacob K Javits Center in New York from March 17-19. Sterling will be located at booth number 2078.

Sterling's 2012 high-tech design features simplified internal cast or non-ferrous circuit with 40% fewer connections and 80% fewer mechanical parts. The 2012 series also features a higher-efficiency pump for higher flow rates at lower pressure. The use of Sterling's 2012 Series TCU results in dramatically enhanced water flow for superior temperature control.

Sterling's Royal Series TCUs, with an operating leaving water temperature range of 32°F to 250°F (0°C to 121°C), are equipped with a compact, rugged cabinet with easy access side panels and dual stage immersion heaters with IEC contactors. At Interphex, Sterling will showcase the 2012 TCU with NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure and wash down motors.

Stainless steel construction is just one of the many key benefits that Sterling offers along with improved quality, improved production and improved control with their line of food and pharmaceutical equipment. Sterling temperature control systems are designed to maintain consistent temperatures for critical processes. Precise temperature control by heat transfer fluids eliminates burning, scorching or overheating due to hot or cold spots that steam heating can cause.

The 2012 is also available with a cast-and-flange design to reduce connection points, half- and full-heat capacity, and forward-facing liquid-filled To and From Process pressure gauges.

The M2B+ controller offers: 2 line x 20 character LCD to display status information and alarms; PID control for both heating and cooling; built-in Ramp/Soak feature; setpoint, To Process, From Process, and DT displays; and autovent sequence (adjustable from 1 to 10 minutes).

In addition to world-class cooling equipment, Sterling always offers full technical support and 24-hour on-call service. Further Sterling offerings include cooling equipment, granulation, and automation.
