Sandvik Coromant Names New Regional Sales Manager
New manager to oversee the North Central Zone
Fair Lawn, New Jersey, April 25, 2006 - Effective April 24, 2006, Sandvik Coromant named Bill Lavelle as the company's new Regional Sales Manager for the North Central Zone. With an established history of strong leadership positions, Mr. Lavelle brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this position and will work to provide customers in this region with the utmost levels of value.
With a career that spans over 30 years, Mr. Lavelle has held a variety of management positions. Much of his experience was garnered under divisions of Sandvik, including Sandvik Materials Technology and Sandvik Saws & Tools, where he held several management positions, both in the US and abroad. At Sandvik Saws & Tools, Mr. Lavelle served as President for much of the 1990s. Most recently, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Phoenix Cardiovascular, Inc., leading the company through an extensive restructuring process.

Mr. Lavelle will lead the management team for Sandvik Coromant's North Central Zone, which includes Chicago, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
