Sandvik Coromant Inaugurates Brazil Productivity Center


Fair Lawn, New Jersey, August 13, 2008 - Sandvik Coromant celebrated the opening of its newest Productivity Center in São Paolo, Brazil. Sandvik Coromant President, Kenneth V. Sundh, joined managers of Sandvik Coromant Brazil in speaking to nearly 90 customers, distributors, industry association members and journalists about the cutting tool manufacturer's investments in the country, as well as the new facility's importance to meeting training demands in the Brazilian market.

"During recent years, we have trained an average of 8,000 people each year, with 25% trained in our Santo Amaro plant," said Claudio Camacho, Manager, Sandvik Coromant Brazil. "With our new Productivity Center, we have increased capacity by 20%."

Through live demonstrations, seminars and theory-based training courses, Sandvik Coromant Productivity Centers serve as workshops that not only educate customers in methods for improving efficiency and productivity in metalcutting but also provide the support necessary to achieve maximum performance from all Sandvik Coromant products. The Brazil facility joins more than 20 Productivity Centers worldwide.
