W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.-ASTM International will sponsor a symposium on Pavement Performance: Trends, Advances, and Challenges, on Dec. 5, 2011, at the Tampa Marriot Waterside in Tampa, Fla. Sponsored by Committee E17 on Vehicle - Pavement Systems, the symposium will be held in conjunction with the committee's December standards development meetings.

This international symposium is intended to address issues resulting from the ever evolving technologies and increasing needs for faster and more accurate pavement performance monitoring techniques/procedures and data interpretation. Particular emphasis will be given to topics addressing the trends, advances and challenges in the areas of pavement management, condition survey, friction measurement, pavement-tire noise, ground penetrating radar (GPR), video distress rating and structural adequacy testing.

Online registration is now open and closes Nov. 30. The fee to attend for non-ASTM members is $50 USD for online registration and $75 USD for onsite registration. There is no fee for ASTM members. presenters, session chairs and students with a valid ID.
