The objective of the symposium is to hold a technical forum for papers related to current trends for fire-resistant fluids and their development, testing, classification, regulation, application, use and monitoring. Potential topics for papers may be specific to a type of lubricant or functional fluid and may include but are not limited to the following aspects of fire-resistant fluids:

  • Development and testing of fire-resistant fluids;
  • Classification and regulation of fire-resistant fluids;
  • Applications for fire-resistant fluids;
  • Test method development for fire-resistant fluids;
  • Use of fire-resistant fluids in petrochemical gas compression;
  • Use of fire-resistant fluids in military applications;
  • Use of fire-resistant fluids in automobile manufacture;
