Addison, IL, 60101
USA

Press release date: August 31, 2011

Addison, IL - Epcon G5 adhesive, manufactured by ITW Red Head has received an updated evaluation report (ESR# 1137) from ICC Evaluation Service, Inc. (ICC-ES). This report now certifies the use of G5 in cracked, uncracked and/or all seismic conditions. Building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, and others utilize evaluation reports to provide a basis for using or approving G5 in construction projects adhering to the 2009 International Building Code.

G5, the same high strength epoxy formulation made in the U.S.A., out performs the competition in outdoor applications with excellent spacing and edge distance data. This adhesive is the most versatile, able to be used for all extreme conditions.

ICC-ES thoroughly examined Red Head's product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code compliant.

ITW Red Head is a division of Illinois Tool Works, a multinational Fortune 200 Company based in Glenview, IL, USA with over 800 decentralized business units in 52 countries throughout the world.

ITW Red Head is America's largest designer and manufacturer of fastening products used in concrete construction. Since the invention of the original "self-drill" anchor in 1910 and the first "powder-actuated tool" in 1947 Red Head has led the industry with time saving, high performance products.
