Addison, IL - (September 1, 2006) Pat Mooney Inc. - The Saw Company's Jupiter and Zeus lines of FMB Automatic Gear Drive Saws provide production, precision and ease of set-up in a compact package.
Featuring a highly accurate CNC measuring system, these saws allow the operator to simply enter the cut length, to enter the number of cuts required and to press start. The machine then monitors the cutoff jobs for accuracy. The CNC can store 99 cutting jobs, and offers scrap minimization.
The FMB Jupiter boasts a pivoting saw head that swivels from 0° to 45° in auto cycles and 0° to 60° in semi-automatic cycles. At 45°, round cutting capacities are 7-¾", rectangular cutting capacities are 9-½" x 6-1/3" and square cutting capacities are 7" x 7". For both the Jupiter and the Zeus, round cutting capacities at 0° are 9-½", and square cutting capacities are 9-½" x 9-½". Rectangular cutting capacities for the Jupiter at 0° are 8-½" x 11-¾" while the Zeus' are 9-½" x 10".
For enhanced stability and accuracy, both the Jupiter and the Zeus lines consist of heavy-duty machine bases, mechanical band tension with built-in indicators, and FMB ACCU-CUT Blade Guide Systems that use carbide blade guides with set tolerances of 0.0007" and with top and side roller guides for support into carbide guides.
Both lines feature variable blade speeds of 50 to 260 FPM, heavy duty clamping vises with quick clamp action, infeed and outfeed roller supports, and offer available recirculating flood coolant system.
Featuring a compact footprint, Jupiter and Zeus saws each occupy 82" x 60" floor space. Blades sizes for both are 10'5" x 1" x .03".
