Endevco Appoints New MEMS Business Manager

Endevco Corporation, the leader in sensing solutions for demanding vibration, shock and pressure applications, has announced the appointment of Jennifer MacDonell to the position of MEMS Business Manager. She will assume responsibility for the company's MEMS research and production facility in Sunnyvale, CA.

As MEMS New Product Development Manager for Endevco since November 2005, MacDonell has worked in a collaborative effort with the Endevco marketing team to successfully bring forward several new development projects. She began her association with Endevco as a quality consultant in March 2004, designing and implementing an ISO 9001 compliant quality system at the Sunnyvale facility. She formally joined the company as Customer Success Manager for the MEMS business in October 2004.

Prior to joining Endevco, MacDonell spent 13 years with Honeywell Electronic Materials (formerly Johnson Matthey Electronics) in marketing, sales, customer service, supply chain and quality management positions. At Honeywell, her responsibilities included supervision of purchasing and inventory functions, negotiation of supplier agreements, management of quality control staff, maintenance of quality systems and procedures, continuous improvement efforts, product management, and general management of sales, marketing, and customer service. She earned her B.S. degree from Santa Clara University.

"MEMS is a leading edge technology for the design and production of high-performance sensors," stated Endevco President Scott Silcock. "With her overall experience and familiarity with the Endevco MEMS operation, Jennifer is the ideal candidate for this important position. We look forward to her contribution as we continue our innovations in this advanced technology."

Endevco was one of the early pioneers in the art and science of MEMS design and manufacturing, with research and fabrication of miniature, high-performance devices in the Silicon Valley since the early 1960s. The company was the first to manufacture a bossed silicon diaphragm for a pressure transducer and the first to develop a fully micromachined monolithic piezoresistive acceleration sensor. In 2006 Endevco expanded both the size and technical capabilities at its Sunnyvale MEMS wafer fabrication facility to support advanced designs and enable future high-temperature and harsh-environment products.
