Carl Zeiss MicroImaging, a leading provider of microscopy solutions, will renew its exclusive sponsorship of the Cell Picture Show. Launched in December 2010 by the scientific journal Cell, the Cell Picture Show is a monthly image gallery showcasing striking images in cell, developmental and molecular biology. Carl Zeiss MicroImaging first began supporting the Cell Picture Show in January 2011 and has decided to continue this partnership.

"We are very excited to sponsor the Cell Picture Show," says Dr. Maya Everett, Strategic Marketing Manager for Carl Zeiss MicroImaging, "This gives us an opportunity to support scientists in sharing their work and celebrate amazing images in the life sciences."

The current gallery features highlights of images over the past six months with topics ranging from brainbow, immunology, superresolution, cell cycle, vision and HIV. Upcoming galleries will feature cell migration, hearing, cell death and autophagy and plants. The Cell Picture Show accepts images from all microscope types from any vendor. Images are selected for publication by the Cell editorial team.

"It is great to be able to show off the beautiful side of scientific research," says Dr. Michaeleen Doucleff, Scientific Editor at Cell, "The wonderful support from Carl Zeiss allows us to bring these striking images - and the cutting-edge technology that creates them - to Cell's community and readers."
