ASTM releases new edition of standards for fence materials.

January 7, 2010 - The 11th edition of "ASTM Standards for Fence Materials and Products" features latest standards for all aspects of fencing industry. It includes 6 new standards and 22 revised standards since it was last published in 2007. Standards cover topics such as chain link and wire fence fabric, fence construction and installation, fence fittings and protective coatings, industrial and commercial horizontal slide gates, and design and fabrication of wood fencing.

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., - ASTM International has announced the release of a new edition of "ASTM Standards for Fence Materials and Products," a compilation featuring the latest fencing and fencing-related standards for all aspects of the fencing industry. The 11th edition includes six new standards and 22 revised standards since it was last published in 2007.

The 48 ASTM International standards included cover the following topics: chain-link and wire fence fabric; fence construction and installation; fences for playgrounds, sports fields, sports courts and other recreational facilities; fence fittings and protective coatings; industrial and commercial horizontal slide gates; fencing materials used in detention and correctional facilities; and design and fabrication of wood fencing.
