December 6, 2013 - Scheduled for Jan 30, 2014, workshop on Estimating LNAPL Transmissivity will provide basic understanding of how LNAPL transmissivity can be estimated and how to use estimated values in understanding practical limits for hydraulic recovery of petroleum. This information may then be used in making effective decisions with regards to LNAPL assessment, management, and remediation. Attendees should have basic understanding of hydrogeologic processes and non-aqueous phase liquid fundamentals.

Press release date: December 2, 2013

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., — A workshop on Estimating LNAPL Transmissivity will be held Jan. 30, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Houston in Houston, Texas. Sponsored by ASTM Subcommittee E50.04 on Corrective Action and Committee E50 on Environmental Assessment, Risk Management and Corrective Action, the workshop will be held in conjunction with the January standards development meetings of the committees.

The objective of this workshop is to provide a basic understanding of how LNAPL transmissivity can be estimated and how to use estimated values in understanding practical limits for hydraulic recovery of petroleum. Online registration is now open and closes Jan. 22. The attendance fee for ASTM members is $160 USD online and $185 USD onsite; the fee for non-ASTM members is $185 USD online and $210 USD onsite.
