December 6, 2011 - American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has initiated project to revise its standard - ASAE S211.5, V-Belt And V-Ribbed Belt Drives for Agricultural Machines - for agricultural machine belt drives. Updates are intended to reflect latest industry technology as well as harmonize content with Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) and ISO standards.

ST JOSEPH, MICHIGAN- The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has initiated a project to revise its standard for agricultural machine belt drives.

ASAE S211.5, V-Belt And V-Ribbed Belt Drives for Agricultural Machines, is being updated to reflect latest industry technology and harmonize the content with Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) and ISO standards.

ASABE is recognized worldwide as a standards developing organization for food, agricultural, and biological systems, with more than 240 standards currently in publication. Conformance to ASABE standards is voluntary, except where required by state, provincial, or other governmental requirements, and the documents are developed by consensus in accordance with procedures approved by the American National Standards Institute.
