December 14, 2011 - American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) standard ANSI/ASAE S365.9, Braking System Test Procedures and Braking Performance Criteria for Agricultural Field Equipment, has been updated to reflect current technology as well as anticipate future incorporation of towed machinery systems. ST JOSEPH, MICHIGAN- The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has revised its braking system test procedure for agricultural equipment.

The revised ASABE standard ANSI/ASAE S365.9, Braking System Test Procedures and Braking Performance Criteria for Agricultural Field Equipment, was updated to reflect the state-of-the-art technology and to anticipate future incorporation of towed machinery systems.

A copy of the document can be ordered by contacting ASABE headquarters directly at: martin@asabe.org. A full text electronic copy of the standard can also be viewed by ASABE members and those with site-license privileges to the ASABE online Technical Library, at www.asabe.org.
