Digital Isolators target SPI communications applications.

July 3, 2014

Based on iCoupler® digital isolator technology, ADuM315x SPIsolator™ Series features low propagation delay and jitter in CLK, MO-SI, MI-SO, and SS channels to support SPI clock rates up to 40 MHz. Family has 3.75 kVrms isolation rating and also supports maximum sample rate for select ADI 12-, 16-, and 18-bit precision A/D converters. Housed in 20-lead SSOP package, isolators are suited for distributed control systems, PLCs, and sensor monitors. Read More

Operational Amplifier drives heavy loads at high output.

June 25, 2014

Delivering over 1 A output current, 40 V Model ADA4870 provides wide bandwidth of 52 MHz and slew rate of 2,500 V/µs to facilitate high-voltage pulses necessary to drive piezoelectric transducer in high-intensity focused ultrasound for medical treatment and procedures. In small-cell base stations and compact military radios, op amp assists with drive of power amplifier’s low impedance bias control to track envelope of RF signal, only using as much power for PA as needed to pass signal. Quad-Channel 16-Bit IF DAC has programmable interpolation rate.

June 6, 2014

Enabling wideband and multiband wireless applications, AD9144 comes in 12 x 12 mm, 88-lead LFCSP and draws 1.5 W. While 82 dBc SFDR and max sample rate of 2.8 GSPS permit multicarrier generation up to Nyquist frequency, -164 dBm/Hz noise spectral density enables building of higher dynamic range transmitters. SFDR and distortion levels provide synthesis of wideband signals from baseband to high intermediate frequencies. For 6 carrier GSM IMD, DAC operates at 77 dBc at 75 MHZ IF. Read More

Isolated Sigma-Delta Modulator fosters precision measurement.

June 3, 2014

Able to achieve 81 dB min signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SINAD) @ 78 KSPS over -40 to +125°C range, AD7403 promotes current and voltage measurement accuracy in DC/AC power conversion applications and subsequently improves performance of motor drives by reducing torque ripple on motor shaft. SINAD value also increases power transfer efficiency in DC/AC power inverter applications. Modulator employs iCoupler® digital isolation technology and offers 1.5 µV/°C typ offset drift. Read More

2 GSPS 12-bit ADC addresses direct RF sampling trend.

May 21, 2014

Along with 2 GSPS bandwidth and integrated signal processing functionality, AD9625 achieves 80 dBc SFDR with 1 GHz input and offers noise spectral density of 149.5 dBFS/Hz. Noise and dynamic range performance promote receiver sensitivity as well as ability to discern smaller signals in presence of noise, clutter, blockers, and interferers. Architecture eliminates need to interleave multiple ADCs to obtain required performance and allows for development of reconfigurable platforms. Read More

A/D Converters support multi-channel data acquisition.

January 20, 2014

Integrating 16 channels into single package, Model AD9249 dissipates 58 mW of power per channel at 65 MSPS, while 8-channel Model ADS9681 dissipates 110 mW per channel at 125 MSPS. Both 14-bit units are available in 10 x 10 mm package with on-chip sample-and-hold circuit. DACs achieve spurious free dynamic range greater than 90 dBc and signal-to-noise ratio of 74 dBFS or better. Both can be used with data clock outputs that operate at frequencies up to 500 MHz and 455 MHz, respectively. Read More
