Middleboro, MA - Brookfield introduces the revolutionary YR-1 Yield Rheometer, a simple-to-operate, low-cost alternative to complicated, laboratory rheometers. The YR-1 is ideal for measuring the yield stress behavior of most materials. Brookfield designed the YR-1 to be used in the QC lab or even right on the production floor. Simple, push-button operation gives production technicians the ability to make quick, repeatable QC tests with minimal training. Test results are displayed as a single yield stress number.
Brookfield's new "EZ-Yield" Software is included with the YR-1. EZ-Yield features a simple menu that allows the operator to set up 10 different test programs. Streaming data can be viewed when connected to a PC. Test data - torque vs. time and stress vs. strain - can be displayed in both tabular and graphical formats. Test parameters include: test number and name, spindle #, immersion mark, pre-shear (rpm), wait time before test start-up, run time, run speed (rpm), and low and high yield control limits (Pa).
The YR-1 is available in a variety of torque ranges: RV for low viscosity liquids, HB for sauces, ointments, and 5X HB for pastes, spreads, greases, etc. A temperature probe is also included.
