B2BGateway EDI Solution Extends the Reach of NetSuite
B2BGateway's New Client Portal Allows NetSuite Users to Easily Manage and Connect to Any Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Trading Partners
BOSTON, Feb. 19 - B2BGateway, a product of Shannon Systems LLC, and an integration solution partner of NetSuite Inc. since 2001, today announced the release of the B2BGateway client portal. NetSuite Inc. is a leading vendor of on-demand, integrated business management software suites that include Accounting / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Ecommerce software for small and midsized businesses and divisions of large companies. With the B2BGateway client portal, NetSuite users are now able to utilize the client portal to initiate new trading partner relationships, review data transmitted, schedule transaction imports/exports and to cross reference data.
B2BGateway has provided NetSuite users with EDI connectivity in North America to Wal-Mart, Home Depot, General Motors and over 700 other organizations. In the European Union, NetSuite users use B2BGateway to connect to ASDA, Argos, Tesco, Carrefour, and many others. Any NetSuite user who intends to sell products to these large organizations is required to use EDI.
Utilizing the SuiteTalk Web services functionality that is provided with NetSuite's SuiteFlex platform for business process customization, integration and development, the newly released client portal takes a fully automated process and gives the end user much more control over the process. NetSuite users now have flexibility with the data that is input or extracted from their system. In the past, input and output data was pre-configured and fixed. The client portal now allows end users the capability to modify data prior to import, to review statistical EDI processing data and to review their transactions.

"This tool uses a combination of NetSuite Web services and B2BGateway connectivity to control the EDI process. We have also added a request-support feature and an alerts feature, to provide the end user with more visibility. Before 1999, when B2BGateway started providing fully managed EDI solutions, the industry process of receiving electronic purchase orders and sending electronic invoices could be difficult, costly and prone to errors. B2BGateway simplified the entire EDI process by connecting to trading partners through a central hub. The B2BGateway hub connects to all of the trading partners and connects to the end user. Consequently, all of the data translation required in EDI takes place in a central location.
