Infragistics Announces NetAdvantage for .NET 2010 Volume 1
Support of Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2010 Empowers Developers with UI Components to Build Killer Applications
PRINCETON, N.J. and ELSTREE, England, -- Infragistics, a world leader in user interface (UI) development tools and experts in the User Experience (UX) market, announced today NetAdvantage for .NET 2010 Volume 1. With support of Windows 7 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Infragistics' flagship product provides developers with the flexible, advanced controls needed to rapidly build and style high-fidelity, full-featured line of business applications on every .NET platform - Windows Forms, WPF, ASP.NET and Silverlight.

Windows Forms
With VS2010 support, Infragistics delivers even more compelling experiences with Windows Forms including in-process side-by-side hosting, multi-touch support for default gestures in Windows 7 and Windows 7 support. With .NET 4 Client Profile support, developers can build NetAdvantage Windows Forms-powered applications using the recommended .NET 4 Client Profile build target in VS2010. With a smaller working set of .NET 4 assemblies, Infragistics has dramatically improved the size, portability and performance of Windows Forms applications.
Several new features have been added to this mature toolset such as WinGanttView(TM) providing 'drop in' sophisticated, fully stylable Microsoft Project functionally and Windows 7 Scenic Ribbon that updates legacy Windows Forms applications with the newest Windows 7 Styles. Also new, the WinMessageBoxManager(TM) and the WinActivityIndicator(TM) notify end users about application messages and long-running background processing.

WPF
With .NET Framework 4.0 and VS2010 support, Infragistics continues to deliver the most comprehensive WPF component toolset available to address every line of business scenario, including establishing improved support for UI Automation, multi-touch support for default gestures on Windows 7 and improved accessibility support from the platform.
By working closely with customers to learn about their application needs, Infragistics introduced several new and enhanced controls such as the new xamTilesControl(TM), an animated, interactive layout container consisting of collapsible tiles that end users can slide and move around and xamDataCards(TM) that presents all manner of data in a high-fidelity faceted user interface of cards.

By integrating VS2010 functionality such as standards-compliant JavaScript IntelliSense® engine, "One Click Deployment", Silverlight integration into ASP.NET projects and solutions and enhanced SharePoint design-time integration into the ASP.NET toolset, Infragistics continues to build new ASP.NET AJAX controls that enable developers to build line of business RIAs for incredible Web 2.0 experiences.
The new WebTab(TM) AJAX-enabled out-of-the-box control supports all ASP.NET AJAX controls inside of its template area and adds significant new innovations and functionality. WebExplorerBar(TM), a lightweight yet robust ASP.NET AJAX multi-style control works superbly in modern browsers like Google® Chrome(TM) and adds numerous capabilities such as animated expandable and collapsible groups and robust data binding support. Combined with the AJAX Compression module, developers can deliver enhanced performance across all Infragistics ASP.NET AJAX controls.

Silverlight Line of Business
Visual Studio 2010 brings a rich developer experience for building Silverlight applications. By investing in a WYSIWYG drag and drop design surface, full property browsing support and enhanced debugging, Infragistics brings the Silverlight design-time experience that Windows Forms and ASP.NET developers have been accustomed to in Visual Studio for years.
With new Windows 7 Scenic Ribbon support in xamWebRibbon(TM), developers can design RIAs using the Aero-style ribbon in Silverlight. The xamWebComboEditor(TM) enables binding to a flat list of items from which end users can either enter values into the editable field or select them from a dropdown list. Also new are the Persistence Framework and the Infragistics.Compression compiled assembly as well as UI Automation Support that helps Silverlight Line of Business UI controls interact with Assistive Technology for accessibility by individuals with disabilities.
