TIGER X-ray Inspection System Features Automatic Anti-Collision

STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT - The TIGER X-ray system from FEINFOCUS features collision-free inspection, which is controlled by an automatic mechanism in the overall construction. The integrated anti-collision feature protects the sample from any collision damage during the inspection process, allowing for maximum operator flexibility.

The superior anti-collision capability found on the TIGER system eliminates the need for cumbersome and distracting viewing windows. Unlike other software-driven anti-collision features that require the operator to enter anti-collision specs into the program, the anti-collision protection integrated into the TIGER is 100% automatic. An optical camera image snapshot of the loaded sample tray scene on the FEINFOCUS Graphical User Interface (FGUI) serves as map for quick positioning of the manipulator by the convenient FEINFOCUS Click and Center feature.

The TIGER X-ray inspection system is a unique 2D X-ray inspection system that offers a view into the 3rd dimension via oblique viewing at virtually any desired angle. The
high-resolution image intensifier manipulator rotates a full 360º and tilts up to 60º to view complex assemblies. The system also offers high-precision manipulation of the sample, with a positional accuracy down to 100 micrometer (µm). FEINFOCUS proprietary open tube X-ray technology allows for feature recognition below 1 µm.

FEINFOCUS, an ISO-certified company, is an award-winning global leader in high-resolution X-ray inspection systems and tubes.
