Workstation's Ergonomic Features Increase Operator Comfort

Press Release Date: April 16, 2003

WATERTOWN, MA - Production Basics introduces the Ergonomic Tilt Station, which helps eliminate bending, stretching and lifting associated with assembly tasks. The tilting worksurface allows operators to position their work more comfortably, reducing fatigue and the risk of back injuries. This custom workstation is also suitable for drafting, along with other applications where close inspection is necessary.

The station is ergonomically designed with height adjustment from 30" to 42" inches, to accommodate different operator heights and sitting or standing tasks. Height adjustment is effortless with either a hand crank or electrically operated push button.

The tilt worksurface slopes forward from back to front using a hand crank. Worksurface angle can be micro-adjusted up to 30 degrees. This allows the operator to stay in a safer, neutral posture, rather than bending over their work. The operator can also use the tilting worksurface to compensate for light and shadows in their work area. A variety of worksurface materials are available to fit application needs including standard industrial grade laminate, ESD safe laminate, epoxy resin, stainless steel and maple. Production Basics also offers several worksurface styles including an ergonomic cut-out to reduce reach area and bullnose with a 180-degree laminated radius edge.
