Wisconsin Oven Ships Hydrogen Embrittlement Relief Ovens to Laboratory Industry

EAST TROY, WIS. (PRWEB) JUNE 18, 2018 - Wisconsin Oven Corporation announced the shipment of six (6) propane gas fired enhanced duty walk-in series ovens to a material testing laboratory. These batch ovens will be used for hydrogen embrittlement relief of various parts.

The heat treating ovens have a maximum operating temperature of 500° F and work chamber dimensions of 8'0" wide x 4'0" long x 4'0" high. The ovens were designed with the capacity to heat 1,020 lbs. of steel and 220 lbs. of a stainless-steel load cart from 70° F to 480° F within 60 minutes when loaded into an ambient oven.

The recirculation systems of these hydrogen embrittlement relief ovens utilize energy efficient blowers and provide horizontal airflow. The heating systems use industrial air heat burners rated at 450,000 BTU per hour and modulating gas control valves. The ovens are designed with one (1) electrically operated vertical lift door that splits into two sections horizontally.

“These ovens feature a unique split door design that gives the operator flexibility with loading parts for processing. The doors also utilize a door limit switch that adjusts the burner to low fire when the door begins to open.” - Nick Toci, Sales Engineer

Unique features of these walk-in ovens include:

  • High efficiency panels
  • Programmable temperature controllers
  • Digital process timers
  • Flame relay with integral purge timer
  • Two (2) position type “J” thermocouple jack panels

These walk-in ovens were fully factory tested and adjusted prior to shipment from our facility. All safety interlocks are checked for proper operation and the equipment is operated at the normal and maximum operating temperatures. An extensive quality assurance check list was completed to ensure the equipment met all Wisconsin Oven quality standards. This equipment is backed by Wisconsin Oven’s Exclusive and Unprecedented 3-Year WOW™ warranty (parts only).
