Wisair Brings to Market New Reference Designs Based on Certified Wireless USB

More than 10 Deals Closed with Leading Brands for Wireless USB Products
CAMPBELL, Calif., Jan. 3 -- Wisair, a leading provider of chipset solutions based on WiMedia Ultra Wideband (UWB) and Certified Wireless USB, today announced the availability of new reference designs. The company is introducing a Wireless USB PCI Express Mini Card reference design for notebook PCs, as well as a Wireless USB hub reference design. Both reference designs leverage the company's latest 542 chip, based on Certified Wireless USB, which was recently granted WiMedia PHY registration.
"We are particularly excited about making available these newest reference designs which are fully based on industry standards using our latest 542 chipset," said David Yaish, Wisair CEO. "We are already collaborating with more than ten leading brands, that are leveraging our technology, for product launches occurring early this year. Several of these Wisair-enabled products will be demonstrated at the 2007 International CES next week."
The Wireless USB PCI Express Mini Card reference design is designed to be inserted into notebook PCs with compatible PCI Express card slots, enabling wireless connectivity with multiple USB devices within a room and without the need for USB cables.
The Wireless USB hub design, based on Certified Wireless USB, provides four to seven USB ports and includes features such as dual internal antennas fitting into slim enclosures, as well as unique PHY capabilities for extended coverage and link robustness.
Wisair will be conducting demonstrations at CES. Wisair will be at booth #13544, located in the WiMedia TechZone in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, as well as in meeting room #35163, located in South Hall #4.
