AP 2209 wire is available in .045 and 1/16 in. dia. Former has 130 to 220 amperage range and 24 to 27 voltage range, while latter offers 170 to 300 amperage range and 25 to 28 voltage range. Stoody® 2209 Stainless Steel AP Wire Welds In All Positions
St. Louis - June 3, 2002 - Stoody's all position 2209T-1 gas shielded flux cored wire is designed to weld in virtually any position, with either 100% CO2 or Argon/CO2 gas mixtures.
Stoody AP 2209 wires feature a spray like arc transfer and easy slag removal, and weld within a wide range of parameters. 2209 AP can be used to weld on duplex stainless steels which contain approximately 22% chromium. The composition is balanced to achieve a microstructure of approximately 50% ferrite and 50% austenite.
AP 2209 wires are available in .045" (1.2mm) and 1/16" (1.6mm) diameters. The .045" wire has a 130-220 amperage range and a 24-27 voltage range, while the 1/16" wire has a 170-300 amperage range and a 25-28 voltage range.
