Original Press Release:

New Wire Terminal Pull Tester Combines High Precision and Ease of Use

Model WTT-110 Wire Terminal Pull Tester from Checkline® quickly and accurately measures the pull or "pull-off" force on most soldered or solder-less wire terminals. This easy-to-use, all-in-one, single-range solution handles most testing applications-without additional grips, fixtures or accessories.

The WTT-110 employs strain gauge sensing to provide a resolution of 1/5000 with an accuracy of 0.5%. It is suitable for wires from AWG 30 to AWG 8 (0.010" to 0.130" diameter).

To operate, simply insert the wire into the appropriate slot in the terminal fixture (12 slots accommodate a wide range of sizes). Select the Peak-Hold or Continuous Measurement mode via the keypad. Then rotate the easy-glide lever clockwise, which clamps the wire and creates a consistent and repeatable pull force with minimal operator effort. Current force and breaking force appear on the digital display.

The WTT-100 performs tests in accordance with MIL, UL, SAE, DIN, IEC BS and EN standards. It operates on AC power or a built-in rechargeable battery (adapter/charger supplied). Model WT-110RS adds RS-232 and analog outputs for external data recording.
