Ultrafeed(R) 4000 Wire Feeder Introduced By Thermal Arc(R)
St. Louis - May 15, 2002 - The new Thermal Arc® Ultrafeed® 4000 is a compact, heavy-duty 4-roll wire feeder designed for semi-automatic welding with solid and flux cored wires from 0.024 - 1/8" (0.6 - 3.2 mm).
The Ultrafeed 4000 delivers outstanding 50 - 875 IPM (1.25 - 22.1 m/min) speed control with built-in compensation for changes in line voltage and feed roll load. It can adjust run in speed and ramp up to match power source start characteristics.
User-friendly features include "no tools" quick change feed rolls, a rotatable feed head to limit gun cable bends and a welding gun quick disconnect. The standard unit comes with an inch switch, purge switch, gun trigger hold, and remote voltage control. A variety of plug-in options are available to upgrade the standard unit for timer, meter, dual schedule and automation performance. Ground fault protection, electronic motor protection and an input circuit breaker allow the unit to operate in tough environments. Unit dimensions are 12.2" H x 13.2" W x 20.2" D at 47 lbs. (12.7 kg).
