Cleveland, Ohio -- Designed for field construction, pipeline, offshore and shipyard applications, the new Power Feed(TM) 15M from The Lincoln Electric Company is the only wire feeder on the market that is both digital and portable. It delivers reliable multi-process performance in a lightweight, easily carried package. This rugged performer is the only digital wire feeder on the market today that meets the rigorous IP23 environmental rating.
The Power Feed 15M offers portability, ruggedness and exceptional arc performance. It is ideal for a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel alloys. This multi-process unit can accommodate MIG, pulsed MIG, Pulse-on-Pulse(TM), Power Mode(TM), Surface Tension Transfer® (STT®) and flux-cored welding.
The Power Feed 15M is designed to work exclusively with Lincoln's Power Wave® power sources, which feature Nextweld(TM) Waveform Control Technology® and digital communications for ultimate arc control and performance. For example, the Power Feed 15M/Power Wave welding systems are pre-loaded with more than 60 standard welding programs that provide optimal bead appearance, penetration and travel speeds on a variety of welding applications. New or updated programs can easily be added as necessary.
For convenience, welding programs are selected at the wire feeder, rather than the power source, eliminating the need on large, complex job sites to walk back to the power source for welding procedure adjustments.
The heavy-duty cast aluminum wire drive system features two gear driven rolls and a patented split wire guide system, which precisely aligns and supports the wire electrode through the entire drive system. The Power Feed 15M drive system is designed to handle up to 8 inch diameter spools, to keep the feeder lightweight and portable around the job site.
Because the wire feeder is built for construction site use, it is rugged - a sturdy stainless steel case provides durability in harsh environments. All corners are double-walled and control panels are recessed for durability and protection against damage. The built-in bottom and side runners/skids make the feeder easy to drag without damaging the case.
